Dr. Christiane Hanke-Harloff

Dr. Christiane Hanke-Harloff has a career of more than 25 years as an executive in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.

Her broad expertise covers the entire pharmaceutical value chain of biologics, generics and biosimilars, as well as corporate and business development, and change management of processes and business units.

As Head of Biotechnology at Gedeon Richter (Budapest), she was responsible for setting up and managing an independent international business unit to develop, manufacture and globally commercialize biosimilars. At Gilead Sciences and other biotech companies she was responsible for organizational strategy, start-up or expansion of European sales organizations, and commercialization strategies.

She has extensive experience in leading cross-cultural teams and collaborations in the EU, North America, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Russia. Currently her roles have included independent Industry Expert and Interim Manager (CEO) and a seat on the Supervisory Board at EQT/Recipharm.

Christiane holds a diploma in microbiology from the LMU in Munich and a PhD in cell biology from the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry.
