Dr. Dirk Schrader

Dirk Schrader is a pharmacist with PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology. In his industrial career, he has been responsible for a number of global pharmaceutical manufacturing sites and led regional or global operations, e.g. at Bayer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, AstraZeneca or Vifor Pharma.

In addition to his Technical/Industrial Operations roles, Dirk was also Country General Manager and Regional Commercial Head for Bayer HealthCare, he led AstraZeneca's global Lean Operations programme and is co-founder of a tech start-up working exclusively for the bio/pharma industry. His consulting activities include manufacturing network and supply chain optimisations, as well as operational excellence projects. Dirk offers site and organisational assessments and serves as interims manager.

He holds the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma and is currently a member of the Advisory Board of AMW, a German pharmaceutical company.
